Jump the Bad Adviser
Would a farmer buy fake seeds that couldn’t grow anything? How much would a farmer pay to stare at soil with the hunger of his flock? So why do we? We must grow with biblically sound advice we trust. And we simply cannot guarantee this unless we inspect another “checker.” It’s an obstacle in your path called The Bad Adviser!

Let’s find signs of a Bad Adviser by blending 2 scriptures together. And then let’s “jump em.” Ready?

1st Scripture
“Where a man’s treasure is, there his heart will be also.”
Treasure at its core is a collection of valued achievements, usually on intimate display and always with a perception of protection.

2nd Scripture
“My Kingdom is not of this world or my soldiers would fight.”
I have always loved this scripture because it is the equation for ruler’s setting; where the real pride and passion in a person resides, good or bad. So let’s use these two scriptures together, and a little Biblical Algebra, to reduce a Bad Adviser down to their core desire.

A Bad Adviser’s Treasure?
When a man idolizes his own take as a rare and intimate display in need of protection, his advice becomes his treasure! Here’s what it looks like in everyday life. The advice of these checkers have the following signs:

  • Always a coincidence in timing (relating to your current situation)
  • Always free. Free Gold? Really?  (Free just like The Mirror with Hallucinations Parable?)
  • Never wants to publish itself. (Stays exclusive to local family & friends)

When Do Their Inner Soldiers Fight?
Nothing ticks a Bad Adviser off more than being interrupted. As the old saying goes “Wise men have something to say; fools have to say something.”

So the treasure and the battleground of a Bad Adviser is inside the confirmation, or the RSVP, inside their live conversation. When you listen to them, you inadvertently are doing much more for them then they could ever do for you.

So let's prepare to jump over them! Always remember, Bad Adviser's demand a live event when they converse. But they're shy about that need since it conflicts with the intention they claim. So if you required they advise you through voicemail or wrote it down, they will fade away from you and target another with their mysteriously "free gold."  God bless! Keep jumping?
