Jumping Mockers
Tell me something: What do these villans have in common?

Remember when Jesus was being interrogated Law-and-Order style right before trial? Originally I was speechless at Jesus being speechless, just sitting there in perfect silence. And so were these strife-addicted authorities who asked Him, "Do you speak." Jesus replied, "Why should I speak at all? You're not going to believe anything I say anyway." Our Lord was so right about this opponent mentality.

King Ahab continued to probe Micaiah for a combative reply. The plan: to brag about their alleged tension in front of a big-time war celebrity (Jehosaphat). The deeper truth was a warning which Ahab ignored... simply to tell himself, "I got enemies, got a lot of enemies..." The prophecy came true and killed him.

So what do both villans have in common? They have a secret love affair with their own frustration! This is a symptom of The Mocker (that spiritual checker). Despite their claims, Mockers are not really interested in truth, knowledge, or wisdom. These people are obsessed with impossibility, since it translates into an opportunity for them to throw their hands up, sigh publicly, and project all the blame upon the other guy: the real victim of their conversation.

The Biggest Obstacle

The biggest obstacle with The Mocker is they mysteriously motivate you to cross-examine them, to teach them, to tutor them. And since they won't change, The Mocker steals your resiliency. If you remember Mr. Nod in the Parable of The Patient's Patience, you'll actually feel that same atmosphere.

Mockers are ultimately a scam against optimism, and a temptation to glorify your own social efforts towards them (only). But mockers are just too parallel. It's like talking to a spiritual brick wall. They live out a different recipe for happiness, including the ingredient of your frustration. Their heart is the oven. And if you eat of this fruit, there's a terrible aftertaste.

To jump this spiritual checker, The Mocker, you must jump "completely over" them or they will pull you in.., until you realize what has happened.

God Bless. Keep Jumping!
